About Me

The CEO of Medical Excellence Wellness and Healthcare with extensive experience in Critical care Nursing and weight management. I started my career path in nursing 19 years ago. I graduated from The University of Maryland, School of Nursing in 2007 with a degree in Bachelor of Science. My passion at that time was to become a certified Nurse Anesthetist. As part of the requirements to accomplish that goal, I had to have some years of Critical Care experience. Hence, I worked in the Intermediate Care Unit at a busy teaching hospital in Baltimore City, Maryland for two years then transitioned to the Intensive Care Unit of a regional specialty and teaching hospital also in Baltimore City where I worked for 15 years. Throughout my training, it has been engraved in me that prevention of a disease process is cost-effective and improves the quality of life of patients. Again, as a Critical Care nurse, I have been taught that treating the underlying cause of a condition prevents worsening and complications that may occur. With these two healthcare pearls, I embarked on a journey where I can assist patients to prevent and reduce comorbidities they may be at risk of. In 2019, I graduated from Walden University with a master's in science with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner. As a family nurse practitioner for the past three years, I have worked with the obese population. As a good listener, I promise to listen to you my patients always, so we can better come up with a plan to fight the disease of obesity.
